On Saturday, 14th March, we will be hosting a playreading of Henrik Ibsen’s classic, An Enemy of the People, at Baraza Media Lab, Keystone Park, Riverside.
The play follows Dr. Thomas Stockmann, a medical officer who discovers that his town’s water supply is dangerously polluted. When he attempts to reveal the truth, he is met not with gratitude but hostility, censorship, and betrayal. What unfolds is a gripping exploration of truth versus majority opinion, public morality, and the personal cost of speaking out.
This playreading invites audiences to listen closely, reflect deeply, and engage with themes that remain strikingly relevant today.
